DAY 24 /25 LAREDO/SANTONA (Buss to Santander)

5,7 km to Santona + 4 km waking around Santander. Blue sky but quite cold. 17 degrees feeling like15. It took one hour to walk the 5,7km.

A new development in yesterday's drama. After the hospital visit everything was all right, we left more or less at the same time as 20 other pilgrims to take a boat between the end of laredo's beach and Santona. As we were waiting for the boat, my friend noticed that the eczema had started again and much worse than the day before. We managed to a pharmacy (no english) but we understood that it was urgent to get to an hospital. We decided on Santander (We will go back by buss and retake the missing 50 km).

So here we are. Santander and the Magdalena palace. There is a Spanish TV serie called Gran Hotel (terribly naive, full of crimes and passion, unbelievable characters and fantastic bad actors.) I have to admit that I watched at least 10 episodes. Well, the setting is at the Magdalena palace. So, I had to go and look at it. (Have to admit again that it was exciting).

The town is very nice and I enjoyed the stay (if it wasn't for the worry).

We'll see tomorrow how the situation develops. It is part of life...
