The Via Podiensis is calling

 Puy-en- vellay, France, via Podiensis, Monday the 4th of April 2022 to Combriaud. 26 km ( Not really easy km)

The cathedral was calling the pilgrims at 7h00 in the morning for a pilgrim mass and the all important benediction.

To be sure I lighted the most expensive and lasting protection under the statue of Saint- Jacques. It lasts 10 days.

We were more or less ready to go at 8h00. The two pilgrims are ready.

after a miserable breakfast. It was cold in the morning but the sun was present and it was a glorious day.

Some village names are quite infortunate. Look for the translation ....

We were warned that it was important to book a  pilgrim hostel as many of them are not opened yet, the village above was full.  As always we didn't believe it and it why we walked 26 km instead of 24 km. 

Here we are in a very nice pilgrim lodge, quite tired and planning the next day...
