DAY 33 RIBADESELLA / COLUNGA

Publié le par Dominique Bengtsson

21 km good weather most of the time 10 minutes rain just enough to get the rain clothes out and in again 24 degrees.

Short  and mostly nice walk. We (Christian, the German pilgrim and I ) met a group of French pilgrims. We all stayed in the same hotel and we had a really nice evening, listening to all the nostalgic pilgrim stories from the experienced French pilgrims. Apparently the absolutely best Camino is the Puy-en-Velay Camino. Unfortunately the french do not own Santiago de Compostella. So to get there, one has to cross Spain and in that case the Camino Frances is the way to do it. Wrong again 🤔. And the worse is that they are probably right, even if I suspect that th stories were spiced heavily.... But fun it was...

Tomorrow is the day where all the pilgrims will meet in Villaviciousa. It is the last outpost before the long and extremely hard walk to Gijon. Everybody we met has tried one way or another to find a way to shorten that walk but it is no way....
