DAY 38 CADAVEDO / LUARCA

Publié le par Dominique Bengtsson

17,5 km mainly cloudy but not rainy. 16 degrees 3h 30min to get there.

Very short walk. After a good breakfast in the appartemento, we headed for Luarca. The feet were  patched, cleaned, disinfected, massaged. It remains me a bit of these Japanese cows, sometimes it is strange image association popping up for no apparent reason.... but well, ready and trimmed. And it went quite well the whole way to Luarca.

Very nice little town by the sea. We checked in at the pilgrim hostel. Since my epicurean pilgrim friends have left, I walk with real pilgrims and the standard has gone down very much. But well, I have tried all the sides. Anyway nice hostel. And a lot of pilgrims that had disappeared have return. A couple of Coreans (they don't speak anything else than Corean) have reappeared. Some French people and some others we could do without are here.

The Swedish girl, I am travelling with is celebrating her birthday, so we find a nice restaurant (low budget, remember I am a real pilgrim now). Santiago is becoming a reality and most of the people here are the one that will arrive the same day as I in compostelle.
