DAY 6 MAULEON / BAYONNE
MAULEON/BAYONNE One and half hour by buss cloudy followed by rain . 2 hours walk in town to visit the main attractions. 16 degrees only today
The Camino is calling and telling the individual what to do. Well, this morning, I heard a clear voice telling me that it was not an option to go wandering in the mountains alone with a bad foot. I heard as well that the northern Camino begins in Bayonne. So Buss. Incredible cheap by the way. 2euros for such a long distance.
Bayonne. I'm staying with private pilgrim hosts. Nice place. Nice people. And the town is interesting. It was the Bayonne ham festival , one day before Easter. Isn't it strange?
Well, after a well deserved "galette" and cider, I don't tell my foot anymore. I'm ready to hit the road again.
