DAY 16 GERNIKA/LARRABETZU

16,2 km. Rainy. 15 degrees. 4 hours to get here.

Well, it had to happen!!! Rain! Not really fun, very slippery ups and downs (because it is still quite tough. I talked to some people today and we all admitted that we had been naive about how hard the del Norte was). I walked today with a French pilgrim, Christian from Bretagne. 4th Camino. It really feels like a disease, how many time did you get the virus? You see, Dominique, Switzerland, first Camino. Answer: what first Camino? And you take the Norte? Getting a bit tiresome, I would say.

But well, the nice sceneries are still here, even if it is raining. Meeting of a full bunch of pilgrims in a restaurant serving a pilgrim menu! Thank God! Real food. The albergue is full 20 places.

I guess that it is nothing much to do here. Just a few houses.

Went out with a few ladies (England, nederland and new zealand). Good fun, went to a pub, managed to brake a table and that before getting the drinks and more food).

Ça devait arriver!!! la pluie!!! l a fait beau jusqu'à maintenant,mais c'était vraiment de la chance. Le terrain est glissant et ça monte et descend encore pas autant qu'avant mais tout de même. Il faut dire que nous avons été un peu naïf de penser que le Norte était juste un peu plus difficile que l'autre. Je dis nous car les autres pèlerins ont l' air de penser la même chose.

Aujourd'hui j'ai marché avec un pèlerin français Christian. Il en est à son quatrième Camino je me demande pourquoi les gens continuent encore et encore. C' est un virus? Je ne pense pas être contaminée. Notez bien que Puy en Velay, peut-être.

Les paysages sont beaux même sous la pluie. Mais il y a la queue pour rentrer à l'auberge. Elle vient de d'ouvrir il y a 15 jours. Je fais connaissance avec trois autres pèlerines. Nous passons une soirée sympa. Je marcher avec elles demain.
