DAY 12 ZUMAIA /DEBA

Publié le par Dominique Bengtsson

13,1 km blue sky but quite cold 16 degrees 3 hours 30 minutes to reach

Yesterday I stayed at that convent for nuns as I told yesterday. 400 years of history, etc, etc... I tell you what the nuns can't have lived very long. The place was freezing cold. A freezer. I had all the clothes that I own on and I was curled into a little ball ( I heard that comment!) did not help suffered through a painful night. Horrible🤢 and there isn't heating elements, I checked. I will probably never recover from the trauma....

Again a short day walking. Many ups and downs especially the last 3 km only down. And the kind of down that kill one's knees. More horses with bells but not the cows, it would be interesting to know why.

Well, now I am settled at the pilgrim hostel waiting for my clothes to dry (can you imagine a washing machine and a dryer. The top of the technology!!!!  I have met some english speaking people and we plan to go out for dinner.

I am still trying to figurate a plan to kill two days before my friend arrives

Good might everybody.
